Operations and observability

GET https://gateway.malcolmstone.io/health is a fast liveness check. GET /health/providers checks configured upstream providers. A healthy process does not guarantee provider quota.

Phoenix traces are available to operators at https://phoenix.malcolmstone.io. They show provider calls, latency, model selection, and errors. Phoenix is an operator service, not an inference endpoint for client applications.

The gateway's admin dashboard and JSON endpoints require operator authorization and network restrictions. They are not part of the end-user API. Application database schemas live in TypeScript entities and are synchronized by ts-prorm-orm; gateway PostgREST tables and infrastructure use SQL migrations.

Development service hosts use the dev. prefix. Keep production and development credentials separate. Provider secrets are stored in AWS Secrets Manager and loaded into the gateway runtime.
